What's really sad is Copilot was originally an accessibility feature Xbox rolled out to pair two controllers together. It came out right around the time the Xbox Adaptive Controller did. It's a wonderful feature that has now been completely overshadowed by their AI platform.

Salesforce does the same shit, but they rebrand every year. It's maddening.

Thank heavens for Linux. I don't need 100 ways to share with the unwarranted govt surveillance.

The interactive version of this is at https://teybannerman.com/strategy/2026/03/31/how-many-microsoft-copilot-are-there.html

It also allowed me to use text search because how else do you find the ones you are looking for? I looked in the wrong category.

And it all makes the experience worse.

Some people have lasting cognitive problems after COVID, I think Satya Nadella is one of those people.

[–] GeekyOnion@beehaw.org 3 points 1 day ago

Satya hasn’t been leading Microsoft for years. Amy Hood, and a fleet of MBAs have been making the decisions, and the focus on “stone squeezing,” rather than tech, is quite apparent. The naming slew is a direct result of reflex action rather than coherent strategy, and supports the claim that there is no real leadership that’s defining that strategy. Truly throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping enough sticks to keep investors pushing the share price up.

This meme brought to you by Copilot.

Where can I get this graphic in better quality and with actually visible lines?

Edit: Okay, scrap that. At the second attempt the source actually loaded... And it's interactive but not really better.

Used to be 83. They're getting better.
