The blocking statute is a legal mechanism designed to protect EU companies and individuals from the extraterritorial application of specific third-country laws, primarily secondary sanctions imposed by the US.

Note sure what that means in practice? Does that mean that complying with US sanctions would be illegal?

Yeah I think so, potentially with insurance against American repercussions?
