~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

When Ellison happened and then the conventions were cancelled due to increased licensing fees, I completed my hard disc collection.
Both methods are valid, but I figure full Star Trek deserves a place on hard disc.

Just now I binge watched Neagly from a hotel a state away from the server. Streaming ST works just fine too, lol.
I've been saying for over 20 years, we need one opensource non-profit member operated streaming platform, where content can be held and shared by all members via a streamable Torrent protocol.
Host what you want, share what bandwidth you can, and access everything available, for one user fee, or for free, your call.
Basically just that we have now with Torrents, but with a centrally controlled legal Popcorn Time like application, standardized file formatting, and a digital media library that includes video, audio, and eBooks (but allows users to exclude content they arent interested in with ease).
I feel that crypto has the answer. Combine Proof of space with distributed media storage and you create an economic incentive to serve people what they want. X% is your unencrypted library, (1-X)% is encrypted community replication secured by Proof of space. Same distribution approach as freenet (now Hyphanet). Downloading requires credits. Uploading new media gains you credits. The higher the quality/demand of your upload, the more credits received (log scale). Add a zero knowledge recommendation service to aid discovery (and punish illegal media) et voila
I mean, the Blu-Rays are still easy enough to find and rip, although you have to spend $40 on season 1 because they never released reason 1 as one set. But honestly, giving Paramount cash in any form isn't that compelling.
