This is a community for discussion, news, and memes pertaining to the video game sub-genre "soulslike".

Given Lemmy's size, the definition of soulslike may be treated relatively loosely. While games like the numerous FromSoft titles, the recent Star Wars Jedi games, Lies of P, Nioh and similar games should be the focus, games that incorporate soulslike elements - like Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, for example - may also be discussed here.

Basic Lemmy-quette applies. Additionally, since flairs don't exist yet, please do make sure to include a marker to denote what game your post is about in square brackets for clarity's sake. An example could be:

[BB] This enemy is so difficult!

[DS1] Anyone struggling with the gargoyles?

I didn’t even know about it until someone posted it here recently, so thanks a lot internet stranger.

There was a fun opening exhibition match with only limgrave squares, with domo playing and guest commentators. https://www.youtube.com/live/h76GWvhCZQc?is=yNU7zvMqwRnD4RWi

I took a picture of the limgrave bingo board

Then the main event began. https://www.youtube.com/live/xFyCvsNeucw?is=YW2mFrWfZJfnu1mO

Game 2 was incredible. The entire crowd was standing and cheering. The other rounds were great, don’t get me wrong, but game 2 was magical.

Also, dude beside me had Wendy 444 sign 😎

really cool! how big is the venue?

The place was massive, in the next studio they were actually filming a muay thai competition at the same time.

They had food trucks, taco stand, and good tshirts.

Only complaint is the seating, this game is too long for hard folding chairs!

Been watching since the first season and just love it. Would have liked to attend, maybe if they do it again.

Match two was fantastic, and the whole season was good.

Kinda wish they had more base game for round three but still was fun.

Always makes me want to play again, and then realize I am no where near their skill level.
