Assuming the Scooby doo one is stuff like "ruh roh", that specific trend might be recent, but people have been doing silly voices for a while

Yeah i'm an early millenial and i got in trouble as a kid at a trading card game convention because i was playing the x files card game, which involved asking the other player yes/no questions and the guy demoing the game mistook my no buzzer noise for a yes buzzer noise and lost because of it.
About 6 years ago we were sitting on the beach and a larger wave came in out of nowhere that went say 20-25 feet further up the beach to where we were sitting, I grabbed her and my phone and said ruh-roh as she realized and stood up, didn't have time to grab the small Bluetooth speaker we had and it got soaked and I grabbed it a few seconds after as the wave retreated. It isn't a term I say often, but I think it was something I did back in my early twenties when there was the possibility of kids being around. Instead of yelling "oh shit" my 37 year old brain decides to sound like a cartoon dog.
I am almost 70. I have meowed, mooed and other sounds all my life. Recently I have found out that I have ADHD and some Autism as well. I am getting assessed.

I had a bad habit of making "boredom noises" for years until someone pointed it out and I had to start working on it. Turns out the technical term is "verbal stimming" and it's definitely tied to either of those.
It wasn't a bad habit dude, it was just your natural way of regulating your nervous system

I think you're speaking for many of us. Typing is my job, for all intents. And sometimes, as I tend to do, I rush. And I'll make a typo. I'll backspace it up, and then I'll make the same fucking typo. And so when I do it a third time, you'll get some variation of "Are you fucking kidding me," whether it's me to my computer or just to myself.
Karma police, arrest this man! He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge, he's like a detuned radio...
It's the sound of their dreams being crushed in the dream crushing machine. Millenials and Gen Xers used to make similar noises back when they still had dreams.
I keep my GenZs collared and in a closet. They do grunt, but it seems normal adult reactions to what is being done to them. Are you specifically referring to non sexual noises in the GenZs that you own?

A colleague regularly goes "grrr" and for quite some time I didn't know that had an origin other than comic books. He's 34 and - yes - officially autistic.
What sheltered world did this guy come up in? The list of sounds we used in daily life or quotes from entertainment as Gen X was endless. Everything from "Ruh roh Raggie" to the "arr arrr arrr" from Tim Allen's character or various Beavis and Butthead references were never too far away. "Book 'em, Danno" an even older reference comes to mind.
(However, in professional settings this should be avoided. Standard chatter with familiar people in the office you can get away with it)

My new college hire is full of energy and makes quirky sounds and I think it's great. I miss having that.
She also is really good about leaving at 5, which is something the rest of us need to be better about. We had someone in another department point out to me and my boss that she always leaves before we do, and we explained that she's the one doing things right and not us.
