Maybe this is a reactionary opinion, but I think a carbine is more spiritually coherent for bicycle warriors than that pea shooter. Don't you want to invoke the spirit of the cavalry brigades of old?

holy shit this pic goes HARD

[–] g_mer@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago

would this work, or would you just get flung off the bike by the recoil?

[–] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 20 points 3 days ago

I feel like one handed application has some merits here

I think pistols are fundamentally a coward's weapon. If you want people to know you're not to be fucked with you need at least an RPG

Feels like you are compensating for something… someone has short legs huh? Their bike seat is too low? Can’t reach the pedals while tilting your butt all the way up huh?

get a wood stock rifle with a giant bayonet on it

Now are you using the bicycle as transportion and dismounting to engage the enemy like a dragoon? Or do you pull your buddy in a trailer like a tachanka?

[–] bobs_guns@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

No need to dismount in most cases, unless there's a need to take cover before engaging. Simply come to a stop, put a leg in the ground to stabilize, ready your carbine, aim, and fire.

Of course, if the enemy is great in number and you are skilled at balancing, it might be possible to fire while riding, but this would take a lot more practice.

See me wearing a flying cap, goggles, and scarf peddling madly trying to keep a lifted Dodge Ram in my cross hairs

[–] Johnny_Arson@hexbear.net 3 points 2 days ago

nah that is why we need to invent the tandem bicycle with mounted recoilless rifle.

Yeee yee!! Also, that holster is not secure, please do not clip a holster to spandex pockets... And don't buy a SIG.

At least he's taking a break from terrorizing the road in those big ass trucks to terrorize cars and trucks on a bike.

[–] Super_Lumalo@hexbear.net 13 points 3 days ago

[–] mayo_cider@hexbear.net 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'll be honest, my main mode of transport has been bikes my whole life, but I don't trust anyone in spandex unless they are at least training for a competition

Just get a moped, at least then I can hear you coming highway speeds from behind
