President Trump got in the face of ABC’s Rachel Scott after she asked him a question about the rationale behind his national midterm voter bribe.

“Mr. President, on the checks: The U.S. is still $40 trillion in debt. If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote?” she asked Thursday night.

Walked in on teenagers changing at beauty pageants, talked about grabbing women by the pussy, loomed over Hillary Clinton in the debates, raped E. Jean Carroll.

This should surprise no one. He is a giant piece of shit.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 53 points 3 weeks ago

That's what so many love about him, though. The general message at that time was that Obama meant we were post-racial (even though his election drove conservatives to madness) and that it was "her turn" when it came to Hillary. Yeah, I didn't really like the messaging around that, either.

But the racists and misogynists were fuming and fuming all during the 90s (Hillary being talked about as a co-President possibly made them even crazier than having to abide a black President did) and then during Obama's 8 years as virtually everyone ignored their stupid "long firm birth certificate" demands.

When tiny d donnie came along and started saying and doing all the shit they say and do in private, because he's supposedly a bigly billionaire who didn't give a flying fuck about social norms because he has fuck-you money, they could not get enough. If Romney and McCain were their methadone, donnie is their China White.

They view donnie as the guy that put both Obama and Hillary "in their place".

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago

The people who vote for him wish they could get away with that too. That's really were the whole cult of personality comes from: unbalanced people who would hurt others if they could get away with it--you know, like our police and military.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 61 points 3 weeks ago (7 children)

He should lunge more. Might trip and crack that eggshell of an old man skull on a blade of grass or something.

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 14 points 3 weeks ago

I know from experience that sudden movement hurts when you're old, he'll be in pain later so hopefully more drug induced shit posting later

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

You would be hard pressed to find any journalist he could physically beat up. One might be hard pressed to find even a congress person he could beat up, including all of those geriatrics. Like him versus mitch mcconnel, not even sure he could manage to smother him with a pillow at this point.

He's weak and frail beyond description.

[–] MrVilliam@sh.itjust.works 12 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

To be fair, it's pretty hard to smother somebody who hasn't breathed for two months. He sure is good at holding his breath and still being alive.

keep the pressure on. he's gonna snap and physically assault one of these reporters.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 37 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

It will be deemed an official action and therefore legal.

[–] Aqivex@fedinsfw.app 7 points 3 weeks ago (11 children)

He could be found not guilty due to Presidential action all day long for not committing assault and battery for all I care.

So long as the boxing champ working for AXY news or whatever is also found to have acted in self defense in accordance to their jurisdiction after their reflexive and mighty right hook starts a needed constitutional crisis.

The courts can handle the absurdity.

Not that the presidential immunity is ok at all, far from it.

But there's a vital distinction between "Can't be charged for anything while performing Presidential duties" and "Anyone who exercises a legal right that crosses unto the protected person has that legal right deactivated".

Which...yes, pretty much is defacto currently for 99/100 things that any aggrieved party could claim as a grievance committed by the US. Gov, currently and effectively, I'm aware.

But unstoppable force meeting immovable mouth?

I feel codifying that too deeply would be a legal bridge too far.

Not for decency but because what it means for the puppeteering interests. The reporter would be more at risk of ending in a black site than a courtroom, imo.

"lunges" fucking click bait bullshit.

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 18 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Well, with the way he stands, the slightest move forward could be interpreted as a lunge…

He actually stepped forward! That is indeed a lunge.

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 23 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Yeah if he were alone he might have raised his hand at her. You could see that he experienced rage.

[–] betanumerus@lemmy.ca 12 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

It looks like he tried to scare her.

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

I'm suggesting that he may have been restrained because there was a crowd.

Stepped forward, head first. That's a lunge, somewhat aggressive also

you can see him physically pull back and control himself as soon as he acknowledges the man next to her.

100% would have slapped her if there wasnt a man there, whose mere existence intimidated trump enough to step back.

i need a compilation video of all the times people around him have smelled him and had an uncontrollable physical reaction.

I did it as a reward for people having to put up with five years and four years of a horrible situation caused by Biden,” Trump replied. “You look at the border, you look at the crime.... It’s almost a reward for the people having to put up with Biden’s policies.”

I think that even the most ardent Trump supporter knows that things were better with Biden.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 20 points 3 weeks ago

I dunno, I put up with...... five years of Biden? And then four years of Biden? I'm so confused.

[–] A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

they'll never admit it if they do.

They'll keep shoveling the spoonfulls of trump shit into their mouth, noticeably grimacing, but insisting it tastes better than the biden steak next to it.

[–] MojoMcJojo@lemmy.world 23 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

The turd didn't lunge, he was just his usual rude

[–] stardreamer@lemmy.blahaj.zone 10 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

But in the case he did lunge...

Can the reporter parry and counterstrike?

Trump is a vile human being, but "lunges"? Come on... That is not at all what that word means. He leaned forward and disrespected a woman, something he's done a thousand times before.

[–] WesternInfidels@feddit.online 22 points 3 weeks ago (6 children)

That is not at all what that word means

lunge (plural lunges)

  1. A sudden forward movement, especially with a sword.

I guess I don't understand your objection.

He leaned forward and disrespected a woman, something he’s done a thousand times before.

As the story proceeds to point out.

Stand your ground laws, do your thing.

Or at the very least pepper spray the kiddie-diddler-in-chief.

Anyone have the actual video? The link does not, and a 5 minute startpage search didn't find it either, god search engines suck now.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 14 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

god search engines suck now.

Truly. The enshittify. It sucks.

[–] Whirling_Ashandarei@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago (12 children)

Remember that enshittify is just a colloquialism for how capitalism works.

The link does have the video you just have to scroll. They made it very small as well, but it's there.

I wouldn't call it a lunge and that seems to be clickbait. He got closer and leaned in to tell a reporter to shut up basically.

What I found interesting is how much his speech is slurring and how slowly he's moving in general.

The people here saying it's not a lunge are full of shit. Damage control or something.

Look at the dude's face, he was moments away from physically assaulting this woman before remembering where he was.

Go read a dictionary, and then apologize.

When Trump heard the phrase "the buck stops here" he thought it meant all the money, and not the responsibility of decisions.

I know, that's giving a lot saying "he thought".

[–] Alexfire@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

They went for him again due to his "business skills" and will again for the enabling party in '28 if people don't wake up and understand all this clearly. The feedback loop is really insidious: system caused artificial scarcity → need for escape → passive consumption → mental numbing → vulnerable to manipulation → decisions made from a place of anxiety rather than clarity → reinforcement of the systems causing the stress in the first place.

[–] WolfmanEightySix@piefed.social 9 points 3 weeks ago

It’s a fair question, and seeing as things are going so well he should have been more than happy to answer.

[–] mrmaplebar@fedia.io 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

That lunge was the most exercise this guy has had in decades.

load more comments (1 replies)
[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

Lunges, come on. I hate headlines like this. You don’t have to exaggerate when the shit he actually does is already so awful.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

“I didn’t do it for turning out the vote, I did it as a reward for people having to put up with five years and four years of a horrible situation caused by Biden,” Trump replied

Then why doesn't he do it today?
