I was lucky enough to see The Search for Spock on the last day and the remaster frankly blew me away, the surround sound was fun but what really stood out was the matte painting backgrounds. I'm not sure what magic they did, but every single one was truly breathtaking. It made me sad I didn't get to see all of them in theaters now.

I was planning to see The Voyage Home, but I was so frazzled by the end of Dragon Con that I thought it was on Tuesday, not Monday, and missed it. 🙁

Yeah! We took the family to see WoK, and it was great. The visual quality was good, but the audio could have used some work. A lot of it sounded like plain stereo from two front speakers.

That's disappointing, the theater I went too was almost too loud at times but the boomings and rumblings of the Genesis Planet tearing itself apart were really crazy.

As far as I can tell, they were only shown in North America and that's quite a bit too far to travel to watch some Star Trek movies for all but the most dedicated fans, so I guess the answer will be "no" for most people.

Fake fans, imo. Transporters exist.
