Anyone wanna spin up a Lemmy server? I'd be down since my buddy died and my bro won't play with me.

Condolences about your buddy, friend.
I'm interested. Please keep me in the loop if this gets any traction soon, but I can also look into getting a VPS going for a persistent server once I have some IRL things taken care of.
I have little free time but would be interested as well
I'd gladly join! Hell, I'll feed the whole server even!
Would love to join
I picked this game up years ago and kinda forgot about it.
They have consistently added new content to all of the biomes over the years and worth giving it another go if you had even somewhat fond memories.
Combat is till janky though.
I never really played it at all, it was just on sale and I'd heard it was fun, then I got sidetracked by life and never got around to playing it. Maybe sometime soon I'll try to actually check it out!
Would absolutely suggest trying it. I've bought 2 early access games in my life and both of them are valheim. It's practically a vacation home for me.
Hah, ok. After I wrap up Avowed I'll give this a try.
While normally I'm all for modding, I genuinely suggest playing without them, at least for your first boss run. After that, I'm quite partial to the diablo style loot mods
I got it back when it launched in early access and it was already pretty fun back then. Gonna give it a whirl again soon and see all the new stuff.
Can’t wait to do the “All right, people. Let's start from the beginning one last time” tomorrow. Starting a new save to enjoy any new early content they added since my last session about a year ago, and to earn any early biome achievements when those go live in 1.0.
Quit adter the mistlands update but still feel like I got my moneys worth.
YESSSSSS! Oh, God, the Deep North biome is going to be brutal as fuck if it's anything like the Ashlands. Make plans for backup portals and ships. Play with friends or prepare for pain.
game as a whole is definitely designed around playing with a group
True. On my own, I just made a catapult in the south to yeet me back to the Ashlands when I died. Obviously raising the earth to make walls is important, but I still didn't trust that my portal would stay intact. Hard mode was a different beast.
I actually picked it back up a month ago after a year away from playing it. Had no idea a major update was on the way. Won't make much of a difference to me, since I'm still a decent ways out from the big new endgame content and I'm not bothering to start over for any new early game content unless I end up joining friends on a new server or something. It's been hella fun and I love the building aesthetic.
