By all means, keep flying Boeing.

They can though. Cause of the agreement you signed your first term

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 hours ago

Haven’t you heard Trump crumpled it up said it was the worst deal ever than ate it.

This is reminiscent to how the Airbus A220 came to be. Boeing got all pissy about Bombardier selling their new narrow-body CSeries for cheaper than the 737 and lobbied the government to block the sale, arguing the industry could be threatened.

Then get your fucking car companies out of here first

[–] farmgineer@nord.pub 9 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Canada and Mexico should coordinate to expel the US car companies at the same time. This won't happen because a lot of people would suddenly become unemployed, though.

We should make a community of people who work together to make new cars to sell to the capitalist hell scape we are in, Canada and Mexico can work with a social frame work towards vehicle manufacturing. There is a word for that, an -ism of some sort, kinda like our healthcare system now what could that word be?

A bit like healthcare for industries? Industrialcare?

Only thing it seems that he won't be able to weasel out of.

We can all be glad that for now, money and a lack of empathy cannot cheat death.

Fine. We'll sell to the rest of the world while your domestic industry builds planes that have a nasty habit of falling out of the sky.

Anyone who denies this is anything less than a trade war is someone who fantasizes about bullies.

[–] CapuccinoCoretto@lemmy.world 17 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

This is much more than a trade war. It's an attack on our sovereignty.

[–] Reannlegge@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 hours ago

Carney did say we were at war, not trade war, with the US. When he spoke to reporters.

Just fucking die already.
