Are you injecting power at more than just the start of the line? That might solve the color issue. Voltage drop tends to make leds shift a little.
This depends on how long your runs are though, I would expect 24v to be more resistant

So I'm not doing power injection but I am running it off two separate channels of the same controller. I was hoping to avoid power injection :/
I'm surprised you can't tweak a baseline or something. Based on how it handles effects its got all the range it needs, its just a calibration thing.
Compare the beginning of the strip against the very end of it, are they the same color? How long are the runs?
