And yet, people act like one argument is valid and the other one isn't. Neither one is valid, both racism and sexism are incredibly damaging.

Now watch me be downvoted to hell in record time for this statement.

I agree with that. But:

Now watch me be downvoted to hell in record time for this statement.

This kinda victim mentality is kinda part of the issue too. At time of writing you got tons of upvotes and zero downvotes.

Men are generally not the gender that receives more discrimination, unlike how black people do receive more discrimination than white people. Of course that doesn't justify discrimination against white folks or men, but it does mean people are tired of white men (like me) whining every time somebody says something generalizing or discriminating.

Perhaps this post hasn't had enough visibility, brigading and sock puppets for it to happen, but it very often happens, there are plenty of posts where comments like mine get buried.

Which gender gets discriminated the most? Not really relevant. The issue is the societal response to men being discriminated against, not only in generalizations, but also in topics like incarceration rates and lengths of incarceration, even when accounting for criminal history, and severity of the crime.

"Biologically predestined" is garbage but I don't too often see people making that argument. "Statistically more likely" is what I usually see. More nefarious because it directs real numbers, which can be influenced by many factors, toward the single unstated implication that it's biologically predestined. And that's why a full and honest discussion of contextual social factors is necessary when talking about these kinds of fears.
