All functionality in the app seems to work, except when I attempt to view the unread notification. When I click that panel the entire app becomes unresponsive. The buttons at the bottom “click” but do nothing.
I CAN click the account button and get the account popup, where selecting my account again reloads the app and makes it respond normally. Just not notification tab.

Yeah, I'm aware but thanks for reporting! It should probably be fixed by tonight.
Stable releases are definitely the place to be if you want a more... er.. stable experience.
The beta build may break at any time.
Oh yeah, I could work around it but as a beta tester it’s worth noting the issue.

Yep, just experienced the same issue now. In fact, even after using another app to read the new message in the inbox, the inbox is not working still. So it appears that tapping on the inbox tab, whether there is a new message or not, breaks the app.
Same here, latest beta.
I also get a black screen when launching the app that flickers once and disappears after a few seconds. Sometimes I can see text during the flicker before it vanishes, so maybe it's a broken pop-up or something? Might be related.
