I wonder how many klingons have gotten food poisoning from trying raw chicken, thinking it is some trial of strength.
Don't they have hardy immune systems, or did I fall for some propaganda?
I believe so yes. And given that they frequently eat their food live/raw, I'd bet they have an easier time with salmonella than humans.
But to what extend is the question I suppose.
Would a replicator make one salmonella and all?
Probably not. Which makes medium rare chicken theoretically safe despite the horrifying texture I'm sure it would have.
But also I'm pretty sure chickens still exist, and could be processed for food the normal way, leading to klingon salmonella trials.
It looks like federation replicators do not replicate ANYTHING alive...
Which means chicken sushi is on the menu!
