"people aren't playing games the way that I think they should be playing them"
Annoyed that I read as much of this garbage as I did. People like different things, get over it.

The author of this article is an absolute wanker.
Don't like the show? Change the channel.
I don't know what annoys me more: The stupid premise of the article, or the sudden paywall that comes way too late.
I love self playing games. Im not sure if this counts, Factorio and cities skyline are nice to be able to play when I want to play and watch when I want to watch.
I wish there would be a rimworld mod that makes it play itself. I would have that going on second monitor like an antfarm.
I mean, room temperature IQ is one of the requirements to be a game journalist.
I imagine the author being a shooter kiddie that can't imagine a game being fun when it's not about fast reactions.
I thought this was gonna be more about bullshit "games" where the player literally has zero interaction with the "game" and it truly just plays itself. Like Progress Quest (which is satirical and not intended to actually be a fun game to play). Not power fantasies where you can just win really easily like Vampire Survivors or MegaBonk.
Idler roguelites are very popular. I like them as I can put on a nice audiobook in the background.
Vampire survivors is still a game that you play. You pick the synergies you want, you move around to dodge...
