Wikipedia links it to Fortune-telling for some reason? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%F0%9F%94%AF but doesn't elaborate?

emojis wiki says it's something to do with buddhism? https://emojis.wiki/dotted-six-pointed-star/

It's a really weird symbol

Also found this reddit thread with explanations all over the place https://www.reddit.com/r/Emoji/comments/16buwk0/meaning_of_dotted_sixpointed_star/

The unicode explanation simply says "SIX POINTED STAR WITH MIDDLE DOT" (very helpful) (not)

and the official chart has an arrow to the star of david and that's it https://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1F300.pdf

It's an ancient symbol used in a number of religions with varied meanings. In uni-code it follows the crystal ball emoji ๐Ÿ”ฎ so I think it was likely just included as a common spiritual symbol many people might want to use.

I hate companies going out of their way to try to keep me for modifying/repairing hardware I BOUGHT. ๐Ÿ˜›

The problem is right there in the name - "Oh shit, everyone has a set of Torx bits now... let's fuck with them so they don't work anymore! evil laughter" ... even using Torx to try to "keep people out" though (which is by far the most common purpose I've seen and now of course we have companies like Nintendo and BMW trying to go even further and more proprietary to do it) can get fucked. I bought the hardware, it is mine.
