I'm extremely disappointed in myself as well are really confused why I didn't make the list... I feel like I'm pretty clearly anti state and capitalism? Ban me dammit!
It was one guy. You gotta be impressed he managed as many as he actually did.
I have no idea of what is going on, all I know is that while a shitload of massive shit is going on, and a fuckton of less massive shit is going on, some relatively minor shit has also been going on, and in two weeks I will be down in Germany on taking a ride on an airship and seeing some cool stuff.
Just one more week until my vacation...

Creates the list and puts it into a file called policy. One of the largest issues is that the list isn't even in the repository. Its gotten while the we app is running, and not readily available

Eyyy one of my alts made the list! In fairness this is my least political account, and I'm on a banned instance.
I'm just glad to be included.
Part of the problem is that it isn't even in the repo. It's grabbed at runtime, without informing users and having no opt-out.

I am a little sad I haven't commented on things frequently enough to be on the list.
My views and comment history would definitely put me on that list.
And the current American government's list. Though, let's be honest, all of the fediverse is on that one.

It looks.like teseract stopped development in 2023?
Nope, the developer made it private, then rolled it back and rebased it so that forks that were made to remove the hidden blocklist can’t accept new changes from main.
It a a bunch of take-my-ball-and-go-home fuckery (and might be illegal, depending on the license it was published under)
The author of the code always has the rights to do anything they want with it (except take other people's code and put it in there). The license grants rights under certain conditions to other people.
So this might only be complicated if someone else contributed to the repo, but I doubt it that removing or rebasing someone's contributions can ever be judged illegal.
