This just reminded me that it's almost been a full year since Charlie Kirk said something racist.

He did lean to the left, and the media stopped reporting anything he said afterwards.

I still think it is great he got to live out his percicution fantasy before God called him home... Possibly nitro express.

Cool. The question was, did he respond?

The joke is that Herman Cain (the tweeter) died of covid a few years ago.

[–] lemmyng@piefed.ca 70 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

And his Twitter account kept posting antivax messages after he passed.

[–] Saapas@piefed.zip 22 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Man, he really is committed

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago

It's that or Republican staffers are grotesque mockeries of human beings.

I can’t wait to find out how Bitch McConnell got his Herman Cain award

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I always thought of the Herman Cain award being given out when the cause of death was something the person said wasn't real.

Like Herman Cain and COVID.

McConnell is just ancient and evil. There's no award for then an ancient evil dies, just relief.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 12 points 2 weeks ago

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

Could you imagine being this actor (Terry Kiser)?

"We want you to play a dead guy for the entire film. The title character. You have like 10 minutes of being an alive jerk, then you just spend the rest of the movie limp. Lay on sofas and chairs a lot, lean on a few walls, get carried around, do absolutely nothing. Here's your paycheck."

"Wow, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity as an actor to get paid to do nothing!"

"Good news! SEQUEL!"

[–] EpeeGnome@feddit.online 14 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The role also required a high pain tolerance, as both he and his stunt double were dropped repeatedly while filming and had to stay limp to not ruin the take. I read Kiser ended up with 3 cracked ribs and some nerve issues that took a while to heal from his neck flopping around so much. He more than earned his paycheck.

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

Well that is way less fun

Said that COVID wasn't that big of a deal, then died of COVID. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Cain_Award

[–] VinegarChunks@lemmus.org 16 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Then his twitter account continued saying covid wasn’t a big deal

No, he just spoke with Mitch McConnell this morning, the senior senator from Kentucky

[–] Professorozone@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, figured they were both in Hell. That's how they talked.

[–] nieminen@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

They have to realize that so many of them posting that they've talked to him is having the opposite effect they intend right?

[–] MJKee9@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

You know Herman Cain is dead, right?

[–] nieminen@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I don't even know who herman cain is, but that makes this funnier, thanks for clarifying 🤣.

In either case, real and currently live people are doing this.

[–] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

COVID vaccine denier, too. Died from COVID.

I heard that Charlie Kirk spoke with him earlier this week!

[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Is it some sort of competition who is better friends with that corpse?

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So they are friends for real! Cool!

This is, in fact, how normal human people talk. I am now convinced they are not engaged in a deception.

[–] chaogomu@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

The first winner of the famous Herman Cain award during COVID. Awarded posthumously.

[–] Bebopalouie@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 weeks ago (6 children)

But the real question is did he respond. Can talk to a corpse all day long but I doubt it would respond with words.

[–] starik@lemmy.today 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The spoke in the waiting room
