For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

Elon showing up again to prove that you can still be fabulously wealthy even if you're a complete moron as long as you're born on 3rd base.

[–] pjwestin@lemmy.world 7 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Even Elon's initial statement is a logical fallacy. "All squares are rectangles, therefore all rectangles are squares." Was he making a joke? Responding to something? Really that dumb?

[–] KingPorkChop@lemmy.ca 6 points 5 days ago

I'll vote for dumb

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 days ago

Really that dumb.

[–] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 5 points 5 days ago

Interesting take from Nazi salute. Just straight up disinformation.

[–] Zacryon@feddit.org 13 points 6 days ago

Well, well, well. Look, who's talking.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 5 points 5 days ago (1 children)

So, Elon is trying to emulate Hitler without much knowledge of who Hitler was. Sounds middle-schooley to me.

[–] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago

It tracks, that is about how mature he is

[–] DarthFrodo@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago (2 children)

It's surprising that they seemingly haven't managed to turn grok into a full far right propaganda machine yet, after billions of investment.

[–] Karjalan@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago (5 children)

I think the way these things work is that you kind of can't. You can train it in lots if propaganda content and exclude data that contradicts it... But then it will kind of suck at everything.

And above all else, these fuckos want to make money. And if your "ai" is constantly wrong, and sucks at doing what is meant to, everyone will just use the other ones

Something something reality has a well known liberal bias.

[–] smiletolerantly@awful.systems 4 points 5 days ago

We had to interpret this image in like, 8th grade in school (Germany). The idea that Hitler is a socialist was absurd back then, and it is absurd now.

(Bottom lines read "in front of the proletariat" and "in wealthier circles")

[–] clifmo@programming.dev 8 points 6 days ago

By knowingly spreading the falsehood, Musk is picking up the torch of the 3rd Reich and carrying forward their propagandistic lies

[–] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 12 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Hey Grok, can you find a picture of Elon doing a fucking Nazi salute?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 9 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (2 children)

Of course Elon Musk is a sort of idiot that thinks that "socialism" = things I don't like Which is pretty on brand for a MAGA

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 3 points 6 days ago

But... he likes hitler things.

Again get your passports while you still can before they make it exponentially more difficult to get or attempt to make the process harder.

[–] merc@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 days ago (3 children)

Luckily, if you get a passport now you won't automatically get a Trump passport, you have to apply specially for those.

Imagine if he had made it like the National Park passes with Trump's picture on them, where if you put a sticker on the pass to cover it up you void the pass. Trump could very easily have made it so that anybody getting a passport had to have his photo on every page -- and defacing those is a pretty serious crime.

I thought Musk was some sort of genius, shoukdn't he be better at logic than kindergardener?

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

the idea that a state using slave labor enforced by genocide could be socialist is hilarious.

I also feel the same about the USSR, and USA.

Villains lie in order to seize power?

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

I think he might actually be a complete imbecile

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Grok be like….

Do you realize that Elon Musk, the man holding the most money, has a psychological effect on young, unsocialized boys trying to make their parents proud, and so there is the sociological effect of the alt-right pipeline starting in middle school, which in other words, they let the autistic savant hold shit tons of money while being an Edison figure (he ain't Tesla), and this makes young, unsocialized boys want to branch into STEM, which is the end goal of those letting him hold that much money.

[–] bus_factor@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

In 2013, sure. In 2023 he's more likely to motivate people to join the Proud Boys. He really should have just shut up and never created a Twitter account.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 days ago

I once had Buffalo wings in Pittsburg.

[–] TargaryenTKE@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago

Honestly one of the first responses from any AI that didn't make me immediately cringe
