No no, see it can be big as long as it works for the corporations, or, uh, we mean the people. It can be big as long as it works for the people. Wait no, that's not right either.
when they ask for small government, they do not mean lowering the scope of the government functions, but having less people who have more concentrated powers, and removing checks and balances.
Nothing says small government like the bigger government telling the smaller government no.

I didn't think they'd be that dumb and leave a loophole for net-negative policies, but holy shit:
"Net zero policy" means any policy, program, or initiative designed to achieve a balance between total amount of greenhouse gas emitted into the atmosphere with an equal amount removed from the atmosphere.
It literally is net-zero. Removing more CO2 than you emit is absolutely allowed.
Or, let's match 99% of emissions lolllll

I've been told that only applies to the overall federal, and that states rights are important (somehow city & counties don't have those)... oddly enough these are the same places that claim that slavery wasn't the reason for the civil war.

The measure requires local governments to submit an affidavit annually to the state Department of Revenue verifying compliance. Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, signed the measure on April 22, Earth Day, and the law will take effect July 1. It states that “net zero policies, carbon taxes and assessments, and emission trading programs are detrimental to this state’s energy security and economic interests and inconsistent with the energy policy and the environmental policy of this state.”

We didn't know it was a documentary about Republicans back then.
Now, its exact impact and what it exactly prohibits is probably up for some debate.
So it has no business being a law.
I get more worried every day shit like this comes out that the conspiracy theory that the rich want to accelerate the end of the world faster is true.
Oil dependence is use as a of controlling the world. Renewables changes that control. Therefore Renewables must be stopped.
In the same way slave owners fought against freeing slaves as that would mean losing a whole lot of power. Oil embargoes are much less effective against a country that has 100% renewables.
