If I wasn’t riding for free as a student, my bus pass would automatically cap out at $18/week or $5/day. RIP to everyone living without public transit.

I fucking wish I could take mass transit to work. The only option that Google maps shows is... Lyft. (Which isn't mass transit).

Where are you getting a full tank for $50 lol

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 6 days ago

Idunno, I ride an e-bike 🤷🏻

11 gal tank at 4.50/gal here

[–] janus2@lemmy.zip 5 points 6 days ago

very small tank

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 1 points 6 days ago

I get an almost full tank for $50 in SE Michigan as long as I'm not out getting gas in the boonies or near the airport. Small car, small 12gal tank.

Just bought a new electric car the other day. My wife and I now both drive electric cars. Next step is getting solar.

I know that the gas prices will hit us indirectly. But damn it feels good to have an EV right now. I mean, it did before, but especially now.

50 bucks? if only, I paid a lot more than that on my last refill. Unsustainable.

[–] bruhbeans@lemmy.ml 4 points 6 days ago

In many senses of the term

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 7 points 6 days ago

I pay around $80 for a tank... And I drive a sedan. Fuck Trump.

My two vehicles have 10-11 gal tanks and gas is about $4.30/gal

no one said it was a full tank, just as much as they could afford

[–] bedwyr@piefed.ca 2 points 6 days ago

I paid significantly more m last fill up.

[–] Rooskie91@discuss.online 4 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Truck costs $110 to fill up 🥲

[–] lime@feddit.nu 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

i remember when it cost that little here.

that's about 20 years ago now. now it's more like $300.

[–] M0oP0o@mander.xyz 4 points 6 days ago

My truck is now about $190 CAD to fill, good thing I don't commute in it. The cost to fill it sucks but its worth it when doing stuff like yard work or taking stuff to burn/throwout. I see people with their shiny trucks going to work and don't get it.

The Ford 350 I recently rented was $297 to fill up 3/4 of a tank.

I drove a rental truck for work. It cost $297 to fill up before handing it back. It was still on 1/4 tank.
