The standard edition of Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be available for €59.99/$59.99

are there people out there paying full price for a 13 year old game with better textures?

$40. No microtransactions, denuvo or forced ubisoft launcher and I'd buy this. I have a feeling it will have all of the above and still be overpriced for a remaster.

stupidly, yes... they will say it's great, then either realize it actually sucks or never play it again then get mad when it gets released again...

people are honestly dumb as shit for continuing to give these shirty companies money for garbage.

I don't even pirate aaa slop anymore because they suck that much. nothing fun about anything they make.

It genuinely looks like it's a full remake with plenty of QOL features, new quest lines and improved gameplay. It remains to be seen if these non-graphical changes and improvements are as good as they seem and if it is worth it though. I get there's the whole ubi bad circle jerk here but at least play with the actual facts.

It gets better if it somehow kills access for people being able to play their original copies.

Looks good.

Not paying $90 CAD for a game I've already played before though.

For me, ray traced lighting might actually make this look worse than the original on anything but higher end / recent hardware.

Been playing Crimson Desert and the lighting artifacts in RTGI are very distracting, really makes me wish for a traditional lighting option.

it will look worse then the original regardless because it's paying more, for the same crap. fuck ubisoft

$90 for a remaster is peak megacorp bullshit. They're not even double dipping here, look at that multi edition bullshit, quadruple dipping. Fucking boycott this shit, don't fucking fall for it.

Basically, Ubisoft is admitting they only made one good AC game.

Odyssey is the best

[–] cheat700000007@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago

2 was also good

Pre-Unity, they were all pretty good, Valhalla although controversial was pretty nice too but I really wish they didn't make it a RPG.

Personally brotherhood was my favorite. Loved buying shops an all the other fun little features it had. Then they got rid of everything that made Brotherhood fun.

They really gotta park this one, or its curtains for quite a few Ubisoft satelite studios.
