Hey, so I want to move my desktop computer from my office to my bedroom (only about 20 feet away). However, the internet speeds are unusable in my bedroom. My router is located in my living room behind my TV about 20 feet away from my computer's current location. The router is to the right and my bedroom is to the left. So I practically double the distance if I move it to my bedroom and they are on opposite sides of the house.
What I'm asking is if I upgrade my network adapter card (currently an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 with a max speed of 433 Mbps) with one that has higher speeds such as 3000Mbps, would I notice any significant improvement with speeds in my bedroom?
Also, is there anything else I can do to improve the connection? The only network ports I have are in my living room behind the TV so I can't move my router or connect via ethernet.
