If there are any Chileans there I've got a joke toy can tell them.

You: ¿Te gusta cerveza? (Do you like beer. Change beer to anything really)

Them (probably): Si, me gusta. (Yeah I like it)

You: ¿Y el pico? (And the penis?)

This is generally considered the height of Chilean humour, and never fails to get uproarious laughter, especially if delivered by a gringo.

You could fill an entire state with white people who only remember the word "biblioteca" from their years of HS Spanish.

It's a really fun word to say

education system sucks. history class moved on from memorizing names and dates, good chemistry teachers didn't make you memorize the periodic table just for the sake of it, but my language classes were still just "memorize all this contextless information fuck you".

Donde esta la biblioteca? Tu tocar mi pompes. Yo voy al biblioteca.

I actually remembered a bit more, but learning Chinese seemingly pushed the Spanish out of my head. Whenever I try to remember things to say half the words are replaced with the Chinese words instead. My high school Spanish teacher was a German woman who had lived in Argentina for a few years. I don’t think she was the best teacher, but she was really funny and made class interesting.

You: "¿vosotros sois hispanoamericanos?"

Them: "si"

You: "bueno. ¡Salud!"

then you start drinking heavily. Usually works for me. It's a great conversation starter.
