I had mostly no clue what I was doing. Managed 2 turns against a Death Guard force and 2 turns against a Space Marine one. (three of us with limited time)
I think I have some work to go before I know how to beat these two. Both are super tough and I’ve no idea how to play to my strengths.
PS. The fact that Typhus cleaved his way through the entire Destroyer unit in a single combat round makes me sad. They didn’t get a chance to do anything and they’re supposed to be tough (?)

Yes, it seems not quite worked out. A disappointing hiccup in the system. You’re more than welcome to fully repost from there to here as much as you want though.
Nah, the destroyers really are not tough. But they pack a really hefty punch. You basically have to hide them and avoid enemys til you can charge a unit that you are going to kill in the same round
Generally Necrons are not the most killy faction currently (will probably change a little with the codex, but the Combat Patrol will be unaffected)
Next time I'll definitely be sneaking them in, as.much as you can sneak 10ft tall robots around anyway.
Did the player scream “BY THE MIGHT OF THE EMPEROR” before rolling for Typhus because that gives +2 to all rolls.
