Can we take a moment to acknowledge how weak trump’s raised fist always looks? I mean, look at this photo. Very limp and dainty.

Tiny hands, so small, the tiniest.

They look like baby hands.

They have that same level of fat, and the proportions are bizarre.

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 19 points 3 weeks ago

They are unusually small hands now that you mention it, they look so weird

There's a very real possibility that everything this waste of meat has done in his life was to compensate for his tiny hands and microscopic penis.

Everything he does is the Greatest, biggest like no one has ever seen, etc...

"Big beautiful bill"

There's tons of examples.

Inside his mind he really is a little bitch. This brings me confort at night.

He's gonna nuke them isn't he.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 67 points 3 weeks ago (20 children)

A nuke would be a BRIGHT RED LINE for the entire world. He absolutely cannot deploy a nuclear weapon. If he does, we need to help every other nation on the planet topple the MAGA government in every way possible. Bomb DC to rubble, and hunt down every MAGA politician and propagandist with extreme prejudice.

[–] errer@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

I have no faith the world would do shit. Particularly if the nuke is “limited” or “targeted” or “pinpoint” or whatever bullshit they want to use to justify mass murder.

We should be doing all that regardless.

I admire your optimism. If Trump drops a smallish nuke on a remote reactor facility, we will get grave concern at best. The world has shown its hand already. It isn't going to do shit, and nobody is coming to help us.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 weeks ago

The world would “express great concern” and Americans would sit on their asses and do nothing.

I really hope not. But we all know he's a complete piece of shit.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 24 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

One thing I learned is that no matter what my worst imagination can come up with, Trump always manages to surprise me by going beyond my wildest imagination. Of course he would toss a nuclear weapon if he thought it would help him, intimidate someone, or punish an enemy.

[–] oddpixel@lemmy.wtf 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What a fucked up timeline to have that as a truth. Honestly, this whole thing is hitting me in a way I wasn't expecting; I'm feeling that we are actually about to go into WW3. If you go onto All and look at the headlines, you can see which country is aligning for/against what just happened... the groundwork for the modern day Axis vs Allies.

Good thing our military generals and service members won't do anything illegal. Right?!?!

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

On one hand, nukes have been a clear deterrent for most of the time they have existed. Their use in these operations against Iran wouldn't just be unprecedented, but it would be wasteful too: what targets require such firepower instead of other, more sensible options? It's ironic, but nukes are arguably worse weapons when deployed versus sitting in their silos while deployment is threatened.

That said, "unprecedented" doesn't mean much any more, and Trump is totally the kind of person who would drop one just because he can. Instead of "I am become death" we'd get "I am dropping a big, beautiful bomb. Thank you for your attention to this matter."

But the repercussions would be massive. On a scale not yet seen. I'm not talking about repercussions from Iran: the world would need to stand up against MAGA in a big way. Much bigger than has happened so far. I'm not even sure what it would look like, frankly.

The end of Season One of "Years and Years".

Funny how people use other movies like Idiocracy to compare where we are, but I never see this one mentioned. It's a UK drama and the US is in the background, but the parallels that we do see are disturbingly close. Particularly in how the world shut out the US as it declined into a fascist state.

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 11 points 3 weeks ago

He's dying to launch a nuke

From a different article:

“We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon,” Mr. Trump said, telling CNN it was unclear who was now leading Iran.

“We don’t know who the leadership is. We don’t know who they’ll pick,” he said.

What’s your actual fucking goal? I don’t get what they intend to hit here. They’re making it actually impossible for Iran to do the thing they want.

[–] circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org 45 points 2 weeks ago (5 children)

What’s your actual fucking goal?

I'd wager that the part they aren't saying out loud has to do with a few different things:

  1. Distraction from Epstein, which seems to be working. Iran operations now dominate the news cycle.

  2. War offers some economic gains, at least in the short term for a few big players.

  3. War fits into the "law and order" narrative Trump is desperately trying to milk, in a way that the DHS debacles have not done. Unprovoked attack on Iran even just as a show of force has been a conservative wet dream since at least the Bush Jr. days.

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 23 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (5 children)

Each day this happens it looks like they’re trying to breed more terrorists too.

They’ve now blown up a hospital apparently, on top of the elementary school.

Things were relatively quiet since ISIS/Daesh got destroyed. This is just going to make the world worse.

\4. Zelensky told him that Ukraine has it in their Constitution that they don't hold elections during times of war. He thinks this applies to the US Constitution.

The goal is to keep war going until at least November, so it can be used to cancel or ignore midterms. Having no defined goals is essential to that.

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If we start seeing a bunch of "Don't change horses midstream" political commercials soon, then I know we're in a simulation, and the creators are just lazy, pulling from "Wag the Dog" because they're out of ideas.

The thing they want is an external distraction so people will quit paying attention to domestic issues. Bonus points if Iran actually manages to become enough of a problem to "justify" emergency powers for the president. They don't actually give two fucks what the final outcome for Iran is.

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

Look at Gaza. They want Tehran to look like that.

The character Fred Sanford wincing and clutching his chest implying he's having a massive fatal heart attack

Ah yes, the genius tactic from Sun Tzu's The Art of War - always tell everybody what you're gonna do

[–] shittydwarf@sh.itjust.works 16 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Sun Tzu: I must apologize for Trump. He is an idiot. We purposely trained him wrong as a joke

[–] panda_abyss@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If you go by Sun Tzu he has done literally everything wrong.

If you want your enemy to acquiesce you give them an out, but instead they’re pushing them against a wall, which only strengthens your enemies resolve since there’s no other option.

That’s why Obama’s nuclear deal was working. But these apes in the Trump admin don’t understand, they only understand “bug smash” levels of reasoning.

I did like when he said they were so “successful” at trying to force regime change they killed every option they felt was agreeable. Great, you’ve successfully started a forever war instead of the quick regime change you wanted. Success!

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

We joke about Sun Tzu's advice being obvious, but it's the advice that an emotionally driven narcissistic nepo baby needs, because that's who historically has been in charge of militaries. Anyone who understands people knows that cornered people don't surrender unless the risk benefit feels worth it, but people who don't understand other people's mindsets and are focused on glory/conquest are going to think that you can bomb a regime into peaceful surrender and that they'll gladly give up their leaders. No, you make moderates into combatants like that.

Iran was having mass protests for liberalization. We could have been the heroes offering an out to the leaders and helping establish a liberal republic giving favorable deals. Make Iran into an ally for less money than war. But no, that's not a dick measuring contest that shows how tough they are and so now a bunch of children will die and Iran will continue to hate us for good reason.

[–] northernlights@lemmy.today 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (2 children)

Could he maybe say something that means something. Thanks.

Also:

I just got off the phone with President Trump," Tapper explained. "The president said, quote, we're knocking the crap out of them. I think it's going very well. It's very powerful. They've got the greatest military in the world, and we're using it.

Err who is "they"? Logically that would mean Israel right? Did he just tell a journalist Israel has the greatest military in the world?

[–] criscodisco@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago

American lives are being lost in this war for Zionists, and he praises Israel’s military.

Epstein really was a Mossad agent.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 6 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Are they even pretending that there is a real reason for this or even an objective?

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

What does it matter? They said we went to Venezuela for the oil and nobody did anything about it. They know they can say what they want and Americans will never hold them accountable
