Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). How the fuck is this bloated piece of shit still in charge. It's absolutely clear to anyone with half a brain cell that he is absolutely demented, yet nothing is done.

How the fuck is this bloated piece of shit still in charge.

Because 77 million pieces of shit voted for him, and 90 million bigger pieces of shit didn't care about democracy, so you get fascism.

[–] optissima@lemmy.ml 29 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Because the system loves this shit

[–] Bluegrass_Addict@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 day ago

'let's just see where this goes... we can always just walk away and bribe the next politicians if need be since we have more money' - corpo

[–] TheReanuKeeves@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Because the system was built by and built for sociopaths

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Are you aware it hasn't even been one year? There's three more to go. How can anyone tolerate this? He needs to be removed.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Are we still pretending he'll leave at the end of his second term? He's a dictator for life. He launched an insurrection last time he had to leave. He won't leave that office while he's alive.

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He won't leave that office while he's alive

That's an extreme solution, but if it's the only one, it's the one.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'm not suggesting anything. His health is terrible. He's obviously on his way out.

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 23 hours ago

Fairly sure that Republicans are willing to Weekend at Bernie's Trumpie and his declining health.

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

I can see Trump being removed if the oligarchs find a better puppet. The line must go up.

[–] ThomasWilliams@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Reagan in his second term would forget what he said halfway through a sentence.

He's perfect. --Sociopathic Oligarchs...and Putin

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Republican party is dead in the water without him. The Democrat's idea of appealing to his voters is somewhat right they're just too stupid to understand the cult of trump and that there's this entire left voting block they habe alienated.

White people. That's why. Lol

Quick, get SCOTUS to rule whether acting president of Venezuela is eligible for current president of US. We need an answer now before more countries get added.

The shit stains on the court would rubber stamp this like everything else.

[–] CaliforniaSober@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

It’s not illegal if he says it him acting within his presidential duties or some shit.

Point is they ALREADY rubber stamped this shit.

[–] echo@lemmings.world 16 points 1 day ago

He's our 'acting' president, too...

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 10 points 1 day ago

Why are they using AI to clean his image? That image is so 10 years ago. Show him as is. Time is playing along with the regime now too.

[–] 6stringringer@lemmy.zip 6 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I am the locallly sworn Mayor of the area I live. I don’t work directly with civil issues so much as barroom disputes & disagreements. I know where I lay politically (The Radical Middle). That is not of importance when breaking down happy hour arguments for stunted mentally grown adults that maintain the local economy. I tell you what there are fewer & fewer trump supporters than ever before in my area. I do believe some of our local 2A fellas are learning to tie their shoes by themselves. Somewhat proud in a minimalist way. Whatever. I still don’t really like ‘em but they are beginning to be angry towards the appropriate demographic. So, that’s kinda hopeful.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Are there fewer of them, or are they just shutting up about it because they're embarrassed

[–] 6stringringer@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Yeah, probably has gotten to this level for a tiny fraction of humbleness to shut them up a little bit. Still racist misogynist Aholes that fortunately (for the rest of us) are just pretty quiet with the trump noise. I am at least grateful for that.

Guaido walked so Trump could ran

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Honestly, yeah. Let Trump rule Venezuela, and get someone else to govern the US. Sucks for Venezuelans, but what doesn't? And he can do a lot less damage there.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think he has fantasies about being the absolute ruler there, sitting on top of an ocean of oil. Way better than the Saudis and their stupid desert. His is tropical, and bigger than Jeffrey's island. And as a Monarchy, he doesn't allow extradition to the United States.

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I've heard recently that there's actually a good chance that ocean of oil was a lie to gain more influence in OPEC. But as long as it's a lie he can believe, I don't think Trump will mind.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

MAGA is trying to convince us that the oil isn't the motivation, that there's not enough oil to care about, or it will be years before they can fix the infrastructure to get the oil, etc.

Meanwhile, they keep hijacking tankers full of oil, and China, Russia, Cuba, and others, have been buying tons of Venezuelan oil for years. Seems like there is plenty to steal.

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, there's absolutely oil. No doubt about that. It's the claim that Venezuela has the largest reserves in the world, that I'm doubting. But even if they had only a third of the claimed amount, they'd still have an enormous amount of oil.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 18 hours ago

If it's Trump's oil, it's the biggest oil deposit in the universe. He's probably convinced himself that it somehow drinks from the Saudi's milkshake, making his oil so much sweeter.
