I have a Tom Morello shirt that says

Nazi
Lives
Don’t
Matter

Guess what shows up in the zoom?

[–] blinfabian@feddit.nl 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

i have a shirt with a portrait of hitler. guess what it says on a zoom call /j obviously

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 15 points 2 months ago

"Charlie Chaplin"

[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago

Nazis live?

[–] DivineDev@piefed.social 52 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Even with the crop it should not be much of a problem, simply because actual transphobes don't call themselves as such

[–] perishthethought@piefed.social 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

True but please don't give them the idea. They will do it.

[–] Mike_Hunt@lemmy.ml 18 points 2 months ago

At least it would be them finally admitting they're scared for whatever reason.

[–] WolfmanEightySix@piefed.social 4 points 2 months ago (2 children)

There are probably equal numbers of racists that do and don’t call themselves racist though.

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Where's that image of the Republican convention calling themselves domestic terrorists...

[–] WolfmanEightySix@piefed.social 2 points 2 months ago

I dunno, but then I’m not sure I’m familiar with it.

[–] DivineDev@piefed.social 2 points 2 months ago

Some people even go so far and call themselves fascists, but I guess calling yourself a trans- or homophobe would imply you're scared of something and the fragile fascist mind can't have that.

Love Demi, one of the best of the Dropout crew

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I didn't know he was on there! I saw the pic and immediately recognized him from his Sep 21 Videos.

[–] bumblefumble@mander.xyz 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wait is that the same guy?! I did not realise that but totally see it now. Love him.

[–] clay_pidgin@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

Seems like a great dude from those videos, which was all I knew about him until this post.

[–] marighost@piefed.social 6 points 2 months ago

Dropout mentioned! One of the funniest for sure.

[–] EpicMuch@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

Yes. He’s been a great addition

Wearing graphic tees on an important work call

[–] riot@fedia.io 31 points 2 months ago (1 children)

What's wrong with that? Not everyone works in corporate.

[–] 5765313496@lemmy.world 15 points 2 months ago

Seems like a safe move when this is your CEO:

That’s why I have several plain white and black shirts that I rotate throughout the week for video meetings, so I look the same every time. If someone takes a screenshot, you won’t be able to tell what day it was just by looking at what I was wearing.

[–] EvacuateSoul@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Sounds like you could narrow it down by half. Must have been a white tee day, they'll say.

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)
[–] tpyo@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Hah is that Earnest? I didn't watch any of that but I know the character

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

Yeah, there are a few scenes from his movies where it shows him opening his closet and all his outfits are the exact same.

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Not if they switch mid-way through any call

[–] bitchkat@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I just never turn on my camera.

[–] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Add to the confusion by changing your briefly turning off your camera, changing your shirt, then camera back on.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Dress for the job you want!

[–] SlartyBartFast@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 months ago

I tried that, I still have the Spider-man costume

[–] eletes@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 months ago

I don't think it would be that bad, transphobes don't usually use the word transphobia

[–] ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'd like to just go into the middle of a busy street and hold up a sign that says "TRANSPHOBIA" and nothing else. Would be interesting to see if anyone got upset lol

[–] Gladaed@feddit.org 5 points 2 months ago
[–] SkunkWorkz@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Isn’t this the dude who wrote the rejected Ready Player One theme song?

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Fun, metalheads have the opposite happening. Can risk the inappropriate t shirt on web meets, because squiggly letters aren't offensive... But the gore isn't acceptable irl.

[–] RadicalCandour@startrek.website 1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

I miss his September 21st videos 😔

[–] gmtom@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Oh shit, i loved those videos, but i never realised it was Demi.

[–] Hafler@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Holy shit. What a callback. I never knew that was him

[–] kautau@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Sadly I’m sure there are employers where having this shirt would be a violation of “non-political attire.” Like Google getting rid of their “don’t be evil” slogan
