You mean the state that's furthest from all the borders is worried about immigrants?

Perfect place for a prison. The residents have been trying to escape the state for years.
Keep in mind that any inmates are counted in census and used to determine how many representatives the state has, even if they themselves can't vote.
But these aren’t citizens… right?
Well since those supposed to be undocumented people, theoretically no, bit how do you know that if there was no due process?
Also this is a big problem don't with incarceration in US.
If you get a felony, in many states you can't vote (insane law). This is often used by rural places who build incarceration facilities. Those people can't vote, but they are still counted in census that they are living in that area even though they are temporary.
This gives those places more voting power than they would normally have and with no drawbacks.
I'm wondering if the buildup of detention facilities in red states and filling them with immigrants isn't another plan to shift power. Although new census will be in 2030.
Although new census will be in 2030.
About that.

and the state currently asking for help, because all the farmers LEFT and china is not buying thier soybeans.
Congrats, Nebraska. You’ve earned a footnote in history under “concentration camps, U.S.”
And just like that Nebraska's population increased tenfold. But the level of satisfaction living there stayed at 0%.
I live there. Can confirm, not satisfied with this shithole state.
I’m from Iowa but have been living in California for ~10 years. When driving back it’s Nebraska where the reverse culture shock really hits hard.
Can we stop this shit yet?
So they're going to send folks to the middle of the country, just they can fly them out to some other country? What kind of ass-backwards bullshit is this?
Strategically located 1250 miles inland.
Just gonna drop people in the middle of a corn maze...
All the money spent enforcing this could've been spent helping out Nebraska's poorest residents.
