Talking back, jail. Making fun of him, jail. Running for governor, believe it or not, jail.

[–] Vreyan31@reddthat.com 1 points 9 minutes ago

This is what every narcissist does -- if you paint him with a bad (and deserved) brush like making him a convicted felon -- well, his vindictiveness has to now make his enemies into felons too, whatever it takes.

You see how hard the propaganda went after Biden? Trying to convince as many tubes as possible that Biden and his son were like Mafia guys...

Every accusation by Trump is another fucking confession.

[–] KonalaKoala@lemmy.world 1 points 40 minutes ago

And then at some point, it gets reversed with an article that states "Newsom Asked Why He Thinks He Can Arrest Donald Trump — Says He Committed ‘Crime’ of ‘Running For President’"

[–] PillowD@lemmy.world 23 points 4 hours ago (1 children)
[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 6 points 3 hours ago

Maybe, but he's always been ignorant and stupid, so it is nearly impossible to tell.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago (4 children)

This drama is a setup for elevating Newsom to the Democrat audience and push back on the progressives. And fuck knows, Newsom isn't a progressive.

[–] sheogorath@lemmy.world 4 points 37 minutes ago

He made a podcast and sane-washed Charlie Kirk on his podcast.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 11 points 1 hour ago

"Trump is actually playing 4D Chess!"

Press X to doubt.

No no he is not.

I think his primary crime is running for governor because he’s done such a bad job.

Yeah Donnie, i think you've done such a bad job you should be arrested too if we're playing that game.

[–] alekwithak@lemmy.world 12 points 4 hours ago

Certainly if he's legalizing the open arrest of political leaders then he's at the top of the list.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 7 points 3 hours ago

That's our Dementia Don.

“But you have a governor who let the city burn down, didn’t want water to be sent down to him,” Trump complained about Newsom and January’s wildfires. “I mean, I sent billions of gallons of water. I wanted to do it in the first term. He wouldn’t do it over. I don’t know, they have environmental reasons, but there were no environmental reasons. It’s, I think it’s just a political philosophy. But it’s lucky for the people in Los Angeles and in California that we did what we did.”

They dumped an entire reservoir full of water designed for agriculture purposes, into the fucking ocean! That reservoir didn't even connect to LA's supply.

[–] nthavoc@lemmy.today 2 points 59 minutes ago

Billions and billions of gallons of water. Took the entire fresh water supply out the United States and just body slammed it into the ocean. No sir going to let the whole thing burn as god intended. /s just in case.

I wish he would have the governor arrested. I want to see him send in the states on national guard or state police and take Newman. Then maybe the fucking democrats would wake the fuck up and see they need to do more then strongly worded letters. But Trump won't this all smoke and mirrors he to big of wuss to do it. Come on Taco do it I triple dog dare you. Lets light this candle.

[–] Darukhnarn@feddit.org 4 points 2 hours ago

Spoiler: the democrats won’t do shit.

[–] turtlesareneat@discuss.online 13 points 4 hours ago

They got the headline they wanted.

They did in this case, too.

Trump still playing the media like a fiddle.

[–] Devmapall@lemmy.zip 37 points 6 hours ago

I had forgotten they did that. I know they're evil but it shocks me again

[–] tinned_tomatoes@feddit.uk 183 points 8 hours ago (36 children)

What crime has he committed? I think his primary crime is running for governor because he’s done such a bad job. What he’s to that state is like what Biden did to this country. And that’s pretty bad. It’s the wrong philosophy. Thousands, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants, many of them prisoners, they’re taking up your healthcare, they’re taking up your space in schools, they’re taking up your hospital. And in many cases, they’re criminals. And we have to do something about it. And we’re doing something about.

Jesus fucking Christ what have you Americans gotten yourselves into? Do we need to pop across the pond and sort you out again?

[–] andros_rex@lemmy.world 5 points 2 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

I’d ask for rescue, but your Supreme Court just ruled that I shouldn’t be allowed to piss anywhere at all because a mediocre children’s author is apparently a kingmaker now. Maybe y’all should prioritize taking care of your own homegrown fascists? This is sorta “there but for the grace of god go I” except yall also did stupid shit like Brexit.

[–] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 10 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Do we need to pop across the pond and sort you out again?

For fucks sake, yes.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

If you mean Britain... Didn't work out too well for you last time. Canada been pretty successful though.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 11 points 4 hours ago

West coast checking in, sure would appreciate the assist.

[–] exixx@lemmy.world 114 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Yes please. The sooner the better

[–] Deconceptualist@lemm.ee 10 points 4 hours ago (1 children)
[–] joenforcer@midwest.social 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I think you mean biscuits.

[–] Deconceptualist@lemm.ee 1 points 1 hour ago

I'll call them whatever you want -- Kekse, galletas, piškotki -- if you help us get rid of the fascists.

But personally I'll always associate the word 'biscuit' with this.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

I'd like just one of these fuckers talking about what Biden "did to this country" have to explain themselves in a forum where it's moderated. A forum where they cannot get away with magabrained fanfic like "the autopen" or "Hunter's harddrive, oops, I mean 'laptop'".

I keep hearing these dumbfucks saying this and Biden had everything going quite well domestically and headed in even better directions. This dumbass came in and broke everything again.

So I would love to see them called on their claims and have to answer the question - just what was so bad about Biden, exactly?

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

He wasn't the best for unions. Not that Don is better.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 4 points 3 hours ago

The media is totally out to lunch. I watched HitlerPig in a few different interviews bragging about the cost of gasoline being only $2, and not one "journalist" challenged that assertion. Where is it $2? What state? I travel the entire East Coast for work, and I haven't seen gas below $2.50 since the peak of Covid.

I'm in Florida, and it cycles between $2.90 and $3.20 on a predictable cycle. It's about $2.95 today, and it will be at $2.89 by the weekend, then jump to $3.20 next Monday or Tuesday, guaranteed. The cheapest gas on the East Coast is always South Carolina, and I haven't seen it below $2.60, and it's usually in in the $2.80s.

So $2? Where?

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 33 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

If you need, I'll write up a declaration of dependence.

[–] LetterboxPancake@sh.itjust.works 18 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (2 children)

Man, what I want from Americans is writing down "I will not vote for a fascist again" 100 times. You can keep your independence.

I identify with this as an American Idiot, but I think the lesson is this can happen anywhere when the interests of those in power diverge from humanity.
