Not sure if everyone is aware of that. But instead of pikachu, Clefairy could have been the mascot of the series. So a pink version not with Jigglypuff but with Clefairy would be something. Well that never happened. But we have two big manga series of pokemon. One with red and all the other edition colours. And one with Clefairy as maskot, besides pikachu. I never read much of it but the Clefairy design is very strange. Hope that's not to much off topic.
