Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

MODERATORS
If you'd be over it: Why bring it up? Why complain about those mods? Why use insults and question the mods here?
Because I'm not going to bother with this community if it's run by the same petty assholes that banned me and lied about the justification. Thus my request to be banned if this is just more of the same.
You're being weirdly combative and accusatory at a community that has done nothing to you. I can guarantee you'd get a more positive response here if you just asked your question instead preemptively telling off the mods on the off-chance there is any overlap with reddit. Your gripe is with the subreddit, not this Lemmy community. Welcome to the fediverse, consider it a blank slate. Poke around the community & see if you like it here. If not, no harm no foul.
I don't see anything I've said as "weirdly combative". This community has the same name, same logo, same rules as the subreddit. It's not weird to assume it is the same place run by the same people. I'm glad to hear it is not however. I'm a staunch proponet of the mission and wholly support spirit of the community.
Some people aren’t being as empathetic as they could. Please don’t take it personally. A lot of us (myself included) are reddit refugees, and being accusatory/defensive is often the default. It takes some time to realize that it’s okay to give people the benefit of the doubt.
We knew things were bad, but we didn’t realize just how bad it had gotten over there. I’m only half joking when I call it PRSD (Post Reddit Stress Disorder).
If you don't want petty assholes in the community, maybe don't post petty assholery in the first place? Leave reddit behind, just post what you were going to.
Oh thanks, really helpful and totally not perry assholery!
Any time. Be the change you want to see in the world.
