News
Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

I don't even get why the white house brought up the beheading the whole time I just thought it was 40 babies killed or whatever which they would mention not focus in on the beheading bit...
To shift the focus away from the two million people (nearly half of those are children) with no water and under constant bombing.
Edit: and also to give Hamas an ISIS feel.
Oh, that's already happening. I saw a video on Instagram cutting back and forth between warzone clips, half labeled ISIS and half Hamas. No idea how true it actually was. I did notice that they conveniently left out any videos of Israeli forces killing Palestinians though.
I think them parading a ~~dead raped~~ girl around in a truck gave them the ISIS vibes
I mean, for sure, but https://www.newsweek.com/shani-louk-still-alive-mother-reveals-1833453
A grieving mother said a terrorist organization told her that. She wasn’t bleeding from obvious wounds throughout her body. Her heart wasn’t beating.
I'm not sure "she hasn't been killed yet" is an especially good defense.
But I'm pretty sure we should be condemning people for what they've actually done, not for what they were said to have done.
Ok, we'll only condemn them for stripping her naked, which is sexual assault on its own, and holding her hostage. Are we being fair to Hamas now?
Not only yes, but also I'm not sure why it offends you so deeply to be angry about the truth instead of a fabrication.
Please quote the thing or things I said that suggest I am deeply offended or angry. This should be interesting.
So that was a non-sarcastic concern for whether we were being fair to Hamas? Or a passive-aggressive expression of annoyance that I said we should only condemn them for what they've actually done?
Edit: Also I said you were offended, not angry, about the correction. Try reading that sentence again.
Sarcasm is the same thing as deep offense and anger? Are you serious?
I didn't say you were angry about being corrected, I said you were offended by it, which you do seem to be, else we wouldn't still be talking. Please read the sentence you replied to again.
I'll try to help it be more readable for you.
Not only yes, but also I'm not sure why it offends you so deeply to be angry (at Hamas) about the truth (of what Hamas did) instead of a fabrication (which they did not do).
Edited to add: I guess I did make an assumption that you are angry at Hamas. Apologies for that.
I'm not highly offended, I'm not deeply angry. I am, however, highly amused that you seem to think sarcasm equals being highly offended or deeply angry about anything.
If you want to talk about taking offense, you appear to be taking offense at my supposedly not understanding what you said despite you reiterating that I'm supposedly highly offended and deeply angry.
Still waiting for that quote, by the way.
Sorry, I'm not responsible for your lack of reading comprehension.
My "lack of reading comprehension" has nothing to do with you quoting where I was "deeply offended." Unless that was a lie, of course. Was it a lie? Just curious.
By the way, you're sounding angry now.
Neither of those things are confirmed. I hope she was not raped and she is not dead (but it doesn't look good at all). And yes, that absolutely gave ISIS vibes (except ISIS would probably cover her body)
There are at least two known cases, one of the German girl, stripped of her clothing for obvious reasons, who is now thought to be alive, and another of an Israeli girl bleeding into her shorts
Cunts.
