Religion is a mental illness
I'd say it's a reaction to mental illness. An attempt by people to try to get a handle on something. If you look at religious people, they tend to all be a little off.
You don't have to be mentally ill to be religious. Some people just grew up with it and see it as their reality, and some people adopted it. Most religious people are not more or less mentally ill than the average religious none or atheist.
It’s a broad range of problems they try to fill.
Alcoholism, various mental illnesses, loneliness, and desperation get new ones in. But I think the most problematic are the ones there for life and because the whole community is there. Or for political reasons.
Ok what's "off" about me then? Tell me my mental illness.
It's pretty fucked up and bigoted to call every religious person mentally unwell.

Hold on this might take a while.
Brain damage is a mental illness
Not really, no.
