I personally wouldn't call it charming.
Crowded. Small. Blocking the pavement. Inside concrete jungle. Hot as fuck.
What a twat.
Crowded? 7 people. Concrete? It's a fucking medieval street. Blocking what? it is obviously a pedestrian street. Hot as fuck? People in the pic wear long sleeves.
And fuck you too.
Crowded - shitton of tables basically on top of each other. Blocking walkway. Pedestrians are to what, jump over it? Hot as fuck - go there in the summer the heat is unbearable.
I'm not sure why you assume that is the case, but then don't go there when it's too hot?
Personally I'd just walk through the clearly defined walkway, but you do you I guess.
Too bad for the family with their stroller or somebody in a wheelchair that they're not you, I guess.
eh, been there done that with a stroller. they make room, nobody gets upset. same thing with tiny roads that are two-way: in America it would be a standstill because "right of way!!", but in small European towns you move aside because you know you'll get to where you're going faster that way
I live in European Small Town™. When I am out and about with my daughter on her bike, I hate those situations. She's not allowed on the street with her bike, so we need to maneuver around all the tables, customers and waiters crossing. Asking some ten persons to stop their lunch and move tables aside stops being fun, when it's part of your daily routine. I can only imagine the nightmare having to jump those hoops with a wheelchair.
That's why I even have that strong of an opinion about this seemingly non-issue 😅
