We used to have dreams
I had the tiniest of dreams. I’m not kidding I’m a pragmatist and I have depression so I really just assumed a meager future. Egg on my face for assuming the water would be drinkable in my 80s. Fuck, bolder still to think I got 4 more decades in me.
Don’t mind me I’m just gonna go listen to that old Komsomolets song about building an unknown but hopeful future. Those kids still had hope in their voices when it was recorded.
