Vivid memory of logging onto battle.net the night of 9/11 and having some of my first experiences with anti-muslim racism. This would go on to set the tone for the next 20 something years.
I played so fucking much of gta2 demo. There was a trick where if you got the zaibatsu gang car that was a suped up roadster you could actually break the soft lock on the demo (a bomb strapped to your character that goes off after a few minutes) by going fast enough to outrun the explosion. I figured that out on my own on accident and felt like a genius hacker.
Still couldn't save your game but it let you play basically the whole game AFAIK as long as you didn't close the app.
All they canceled for us was recess!
