Father of an ADHD 9-yr old who I love dearly. To quote a song from Hot Mulligan:
“Things don’t get better just different”
Yeah, I just hope I can cope with different better, it's mostly the rut I'm stuck in that's doing me in.
One thing you can take comfort in then is that nothing ever really stays still and whatever you are used to will change before you really realise it.
There will be some different you can cope with better, and some maybe not. Just keep doing your best and showing as much love as you can, to both your kid and yourself.
