For what my kid costs me I could hire a full time live in helper. And have some left over. 'Cheap' labour, hah.
Once you have children, you exist to give everything you have to their benefit. If there's any such thing as immortality in this world, children are it. Stop thinking of your relationship with them as transactional, and at least give them the braindead animal level benefit of thinking of them as your own flesh and blood. That's a biological fact, and if you don't comprehend it then your mind is behind your very genes, and you have some learning to do.
