Jobs aside, Cook did what a CEO is supposed to do in that situation. Political change ironically doesn’t come from a CEO taking a stand and jeopardising hundreds of thousands of workers, product lines and tariffs.
The time to take a stand was any time after Jan 6 on any level. None of it happened and then Elon helped him hack the voting machines by his own admission.
That said, Cook was fairly spineless. If you look at the cash he burned on R&D and what little he has to show for it, it’s a bit tragic. The phones, pads and macs are all in a really good place so those products (with serious setbacks) are finally really mature, but the Vision goggles and the Car were really missed opportunities, not to mention the rest of the iceberg we don’t know about.
Hopefully Ternus will turn us around hey
More like by his own narcissistic self-mythologisation. Elon Musk the visionary technogenius who defeats the Woke Mind Virus with his 1337 hax0r skillz and then has time to reinvent subways only with apartheid is just the act he puts on to manipulate markets and be idolised by legions of guys self-defined by their lack of girlfriends. In reality, he uses Windows like any other C-suite executive and pays people to level up his characters in games. If he “hacked” the voting machines, it would have been with his checkbook.
