I have no idea what the takeaway is from that video, except that he didn't even get his facts right about the steam deck subsidies. Is it that hardware prices are going up? We don't need a source for that.
What does ANY of this have to do with your claim that the steam frame (or alyx, because I can't figure out what your actual claim is) is a flop?
Alyx was a marketing campaign for the index, so you would have to include all the index they sold because of alyx
Then why were you talking about material costs, steam deck comparisons, etc? How are you comparing a game to a hardware console?
Alyx sold $40M in the 1st month alone and has broken the $100M mark by now, so you're incorrect.
Maybe because they're two different things that can stand apart from each other. Also all your arguments so far have been moot.
the index and even the cheapest of the competition was hella expensive so of course alyx wouldn't sell normal pc game numbers.
and they would continue releasing steam frames because they are already made...
even if it doesn't profit they will just cut their losses and make bank for the 900th time next steam sale
