Three-quarters of Americans said in a recent poll that they oppose datacenters being built next to their homes
Ummm...except that all those "federal deregulatory efforts" mean they don't have to do any of that in order to build them. So they won't, of course. Why would they, when you've already given them the free-reign to do whatever they want?
How do these clowns have any supporters left, at this point?
Their supporters are stupid and hateful, but the Republicans keep telling them that they are special, and better than the people they hate
What data centers are net energy negative? Maybe if they designed the building inefficiently large and then placed solar panels on the roof... Maybe. But I haven't seen any articles or papers or evidence of such a data center. Maybe some have on premise energy generators like natural gas but they are inherently less efficient than the state/federal/municipality ran ones which operate on a larger scale and enjoy the benefits of doing such.
Maybe a combination data center and nuclear power plant? But that's totally speculative and probably has never even been seriously sketched out.
