I definitely don't get the high of coding anymore, but I do get a high of solving complex issues in architectural designs. I realized the high I chased when coding previously have shifted from coding design, to systems design.
I never got a high from coding, now compiling and seeing your tests have a green [PASS] next to them is a different story.
I get high when I stare at a terminal screen nonplussed for hours and suddenly it clicks and I fix it.
That's a rush for me.
