Holy shit. He wasn't allowed to change it's name so he's doing to have his lackeys carve his name into the the side of the building instead.
Nothing happening in the US is sane. This person should have been removed from power by the other branches of government a long time ago. The government is nonfunctional to the point I'm very honestly worried that the Democrats sweeping the midterms won't make any difference.
Democrats sweeping the midterms is the final check and then it’s all over for the US or we still have a snow ball’s chance in hell.
I think a lot of people still believe that of the Democrats sweep the midterms it will make things better quickly.
I see that as the only good path, but think it would cause him to become even more unstable and try to claim enough Democrats are no longer citizens based on his last legal executive order to create an R majority... and don't see many Republicans complaining about it.
If Democrats take all of the senate seats that are up for election, they'll be able to get the two thirds majority needed to convict him in the senate after impeachment. The odds of that happening are somewhere between slim and none.
Otherwise, unless some of the Republican senators cross the aisle, you're stuck with President Trump for the next couple of years assuming he survives.
The problem is that even if the Democrats sweep every possible seat, if that executive order was written with that in mind and he quietly writes something declaring that a lot of those Democrats in Congress are no longer US citizens and large well-armed groups of ice are sent to kidnap a whole lot of them in a surprise raid...
Somewhere a sitout is still complaining about a war and a womans funny laugh.
It won’t. The elections were always a sideshow.
And no system or mechanism, no will or organization of citizens has rallied to stop any of it. America is in civil war right now and the citizens refuse to acknowledge it or are too occupied to be able to do anything about it.
Unfortunately a large percentage of the country is in a place where if they don't go to work for a few days they're homeless and have no way to buy food.
Effectively eliminating their political power which means finding people who have the means and can represent them outside the established political system. The retired and the economically well off. Or technological solutions that help reduce the cost and time of participation.
If you read today's news in 1978 you would not believe one word of it - we have very definitely lost the US govt as we knew it. I'd also say the public in general is also less intelligent and increasingly misinformed.
I've heard that the great wizard even turned his back on them.
Republicans aren't leaving. Regardless of the election outcome, they are there to stay. You just realized this?!
