I think it's a little early to expect results but it's good to have a potty around even if it's just for them to play with. I got one for my kids just before they turned 2 and it wasn't used much at first, they've only started using it now after they turned 3. Your kid might enjoy having a toilet their size as an imitation play thing at a minimum. And then you already have it for when things start to click
