It's actually just a singing competition put together by a number of broadcasters who are apart of a broadcasters union. The title is marketing more than anything.

It's not obviously, the standards are set by euro nations. But iirc there are arab nations that could be apart of it, but boycott it because Israel is involved and they refuse to bare them. Go figure.

They have been in Eurovision for over 10 years now. They were brought in for the 60th anniversary and never left
