Where: Pathways to Power AND Rally @ Boston Common—Proudly display your amazing signs, flags (no poles, please!), and your most creative protest attire as you make your way to Boston Common from 1-2 p.m. Let’s show the world what patriotism really looks like by filling the sidewalks. Consider getting off the T a few stops early to extend this visibility walk! 2-4 p.m. Rally @ Boston Common.

When: 1-4pm (1-2 Pathways to Power march, 2-4pm Boston Common)

Anyone have good sign ideas? I was considering just listing people murdered by ICE. Something I read claimed connecting potential dictators' actions with overthrowing democracy was a key, so maybe quoting Anne Frank or drawing comparisons to Stalin/Hitler.

I think the peaceful protest time is over. Fascism is already at our front doors.

Yes. Even if this protest is peaceful, people need to come with more confrontarional rhetoric. I am sick and tired of the punny signs about love winning and smiles and roses. They’re fucking executing people in the streets and we need to get mean.

I think as soon as someone shoots an ICE agent, Trump declares a state of war, suspends Congress, and rolls tanks into Boston. He's clearly itching to do that anyway, so certainly be ready. But I don't see the people winning at this point; the military appears to largely be following Trump's whims still.

He'll do it no matter what. It's a powder keg.

and until someone does, he just ignores congress and sends ICE and/or the National Guard... you are already there my friend

I think what we just watched unfold in Minnesota demonstrates the power of peaceful, organized protest

what? ICE promising but not quite leaving after killing a few people, assaulting dozens and harassing thousands?...

I am not advocating for violence, but unless you at the very least consider holding these marches in the middle of the week when economic activity is hurt, you are just dancing for rain

I totally forgot how the ICE nazis got justice for their unlawful public executions. Yay peace and love!
