So what would you like me to think of you if you think the person who couldn't get any support in 2020, who didn't participate in a 2024 primary, was suddenly nominated as a candidate for the general election is what was supposed to be a democracy?

So what? It wasn't the ideal situation, but we were faced with a bit of an emergency when it became clear that Biden wasn't up to the job. It wasn't like she was chosen randomly, she was the VP, so she had already been part of the 2020 winning team, so she was next in line, and the logical choice.

The idea that somehow she was an illegitimate candidate, making the biggest traitor in American history the ONLY possible choice, is STUPID.

She was the VP from 2020-2024, and even then, VP is not an elected position, and she dropped out in 2020 cause nobody supported her.

The VP absolutely is an elected position, and is usually responsible for a significant portion of the President's votes.

They normally choose a VP candidate based on how many votes they will bring, and Kamala was chosen because she could deliver the black vote to an otherwise lily-white campaign, and that black vote was an important factor in Biden's win. There is no denying this.

Yes, there is. Black people hated Kamala only slightly less than Buttigieg(or however you spell his name), and Biden was already liked by older black people, though I've no idea why.

Hard to have a discussion with someone who makes up the facts.
