So my theory is, Sony already knows this generation is cooked, the PS5 cannot be saved, so they’re releasing the most cash-grabbing Pro version just to milk the Sony diehards.
At least according to themselves, Sony is making more money with Playstation right now than they ever have. They sold 60 million of these things. People just want a console to play Call of Duty and FIFA on, that the thing doesn't have exclusives is completely irrelevant to those people.
At the same point in the PS4’s life cycle, it had moved about 80 million units. They’ve sold decently but it’s a distinct drop from the prior gen.
What I'm thinking too. If they actually cared about this gen they'd be investing in games/studios.
They could save the generation by making any games for it. But they killed japan studio to make concord
