The best thing is that I can make it look, feel, and used as I want. It's my decision. This, and it's easy to fix something if I break it with appropriate documentation. In windows, fixing something on my own feel like a huge pain. Now I work in IT and the workplace use win11 mostly, each day, I hate windows and Microsoft app more. It's like a maze to find something. My Linux desktop is a relief, everything is available

I use Total Launcher, even if it's not Foss, since it's the only launcher I found that give me the tools to do anything I want, even in it's free tier. I never had issues with it. But I hope to find a foss alternative one day.

E-ink aren't really a 'screen'. It's more something that imprint tiny shell of some kind of ink. And it stay visible even when the display is off. Think of it like the Telecran. I'm not completely sure, but it's what's I understand from reading it. So I don't think it can occur brainrot or any trouble, aside from the same as reading text for hours

I have the same model. You can buy pola 600 color classic to start. There's a timer to make autoportrait. It's located on top with the clock icon. An auto flash that is necessary in interior because there's not so much aperture. You can 'disable' the flash by putting cardboard on the light. Aperture can be managed with the slider under the lenses. I don't know what to say... I started with this camera when pola was ceased. At this time, it was Impossible Project that made films. Now, impossible project bought Polaroid brand and produce under the classic name. To 'start' it, you need the film. The film contain the battery. You insert the film. Then you press the flash/light part to open it. Don't hesitate to pull the flash to help it reach the full opening if it seem stuck
You should see red dot light when it's OK. The left part (if you look from the front, as seen is your picture), is the flash that you need to open by pushing on the top. Middle, the lens. The right side is the aperture part. The 'shoot' button is located on the back side right. On the back left part, you should have the 'viewfinder' Sorry for my English, not my main language. Don't hesitate if you have questions

I live in France. if I say I use Signal or Grapheneos, peoples who consume major newspaper jokingly say : "oh, you're using the criminal thing, you must be a drug dealer/terrorist". It's a joke, but still, I can see that the misunderstanding of those tools are in their head. So French news does a good job to make them look bad. And recently the Anssi (French agency for security and information system, depending from security ministry) , published a public pdf about mobile phone threat in France since 2015. They talk about hacker, security breach, tools and tips for population to prevent risk. They recommend to use Signal over Sms. But they never mention Grapheneos or any other rom.

Remember school where I learned to write number in full text. It's so long. Soixante dix-neuf I 79 Quatre-vingt I 80 Quatre-vingts un I 81 .. Quatre-vingts treize I 93 ... Cent soixante-dix neuf I 179

It's plain math

In French part Belgium and Switzerland, they use something that make more sense like Septante | 70 Septante Un | 71 Octante I 80 Nonante I 90

Is this the onion? They add the basic feature of a media player where you can listen the title you clicked and not random stuff? If I understood correctly, this is not a feature, it's just a restriction being removed

Same, both thumbs bend backward to 90°. Used to have fun back in school, saying I'd always got my set square with me for geometry.
